Kusina Salud Filipino Fusion Dining Experience

I got an invite at San Pablo Laguna and in order to maximize our stay with the town, we drop to a famous restau which I only read to other food bloggers.  This is also an advance celebration of my birthday, treating myself to a renowned yet organic restau here in the midst place of San Pablo Laguna.

Quote from their website : Opened in October 2004,  Kusina Salud features an enchanting ambience created by Filipiniana textile artist Patis Tesoro, and a unique preparation of modern Filipino cuisine by Chef Paul Poblador and his talented team.

Historical as it could be, they turned a place into a relaxing yet great ambience full of Banahaw ferrns around the garden.  True to what they say -  “Kusina Salud Welcomes You Back to Filipino Food Served in a Filipino Home”.

The ambiance of the place depicted the traditional Filipino country style which I am a die hard fan when it comes to antique interior stuffs.

As to their website: “Even before Kusina Salud opened in October 2004, Patis Tesoro’s weekend getaway was already renowned as an example of eclectic and dynamic yet traditional Philippine architecture”.

I am a fish and veggie person, so what I did is to try their version of  fish tando0ri in a sweet and sour sauce topped with ripened mango cubes.

I am always intrigue with pako which is selling along Calamba highway that can be made into a salad or a veggie menu.  Now this is the time I really have to give it a first try to taste it.  We ordered Ensaladang Pako which is truly their signature salad.

There are still wide variety of filipino foods to choose from.  These are their list of menu which definitely put a twist to each Filipino dishes.

Kusina Salud got a new business model for their restau which called “SALUD! STOPOVER DELI & CAFE”  now open to serve the public from Thursdays to Mondays, from 10 am to 6 pm.

Favorite dishes and a few new concoctions are available at very reasonable prices.  Kusina Salud is now a venue for reservation only for groups of 50 pax and above.
