Calamba City- Laguna, Hot Spring Capital of the Philippines

Malacanang asked the operator of South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) to defer the 250-percent toll rate hike by one week. The new toll rate fee will take effect on July 7. Because of the incoming new toll fee hike price, protests arises from different trasport sectors.

Today we commemorate the 149th birthday of Dr. Jose Rizal. There are lot of activities in store in celebration of his birthday. I am really enthusiastic to know what in store for the celebration for Jose Rizal’s birthday. What we do is to visit his house and check the activties in store for the day.

June is not only for Calamba celebration but also to Laguna province where we remember the birthday of our National Hero, Jose Rizal. I have also mention this to my first post this June and for those who have offices and classes (most likely college students), this is declared as a holiday to the province of Laguna.

In lieu of the celebration, Enchanted Kingdom offers a 20% discount to all Laguna residents on Regular Day Pass.

Family is thinking of celebrating simple Father’s Day this weekend nearby without so much cost (considering class open this week with so many expenses) where we can also bond each other until I got this info when I google it. Again, Solenad Nuvali will have a Father’s Day three-day weekend event that would showcase fun and eco-conscious for the whole family.

I was watching the news last night and what caught my attention is the increase toll fee come June 30, 2010. The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) finaly allowed the Malaysian firm to adjust the rates. From Alabang to Calamba, the new toll fees are: P77.00 for Class 1 (formely P 22.00), P155.00 for Class 2 (formerly P43.00), and P232.00 for Class 3 (formerly P 65.00).

June 15 is officially the first day of school for year 2010-2011 and everyone is excited not only the students but also a parent like me. There would be new adventure for the kids as they venture to a new level of their academe experiences. I will be sharing with you one of the new school here in Calamba which can also be found in the metro.

Its holiday once again and the best thing to enjoy this is to be with your family! We are almost gone through with our weekend escapade outside. Now this is the time we can stay home, prepare for tomorrow’s class but most of all watch television especially the NBA finals partnered with our fave pizza – Pizza Hut.

One thing that we do not dare to come over with Doña Jovita is their Mediterranean area in the garden resort. We thought that this place is exclusive for private gatherings that if you are an outsider or renting the public pool, you cannot enter it.

We were quite amazed to get an invite from our relatives last June 12 to experience last hurrah for summer. I got this asthma attack a while ago, but hubby told me that therapeutically, the hot spring can relieve me if we will join.

June is the most popular month to get married in and because of this our newly re-elect mayor of Calamba is giving free wedding to those who like to be married.
