Calamba’s 268th Foundation Day

Calamba City commemorated its 268tth Foundation Day by starting the celebration with a Fun Run starting from Baywalk, assembly at 5:30 am and run start at exactly 6:00 am. Its only a 4-km run that would end at the town’s plaza which some of the participants got it in a 15-minute run.

The whole week was too much rain and definitely on this day, great weather cooperate with the event.

The fun run was participated by various sectors – from elected government officials headed by the town Mayor – Joaquin Chipeco, different schools, business establishments, social institutions and organizations as they run around the streets in the city.

Trophies were at stake to the winners.

After the fun run, it was followed by simple exercise.

This was headed by the Baywalk Buddies organizers and instructors.

Kudos to Baywalk buddies – the event got live and fab when they spearheaded the shape-up part. Audience participated even the mayor just to get off the beat activity.

Police officials and members were even infront joining and dancing. As it turns out, everybody absolutely love the event.

There would be another whole day activity after this called “Larong Pinoy” which will be participated also by different sectors.

Even I am not present on the whole day celebration, witnessing that everybody participated is a remarkable experience in exploring this simple tradition.
