Los Banos Flower and Garden Show Summer 2011
All set now again for the Los Banos Flower and Garden Show for 2011. As a member of Los Banos Horticulture Society, my family always support their previous event, the most participated and promote it unceasingly. We were lucky enough to attend their ribbon cutting yesterday, April 28, 2011 and for now will just give you a sneak peak.
The summer show of the Los Banos Horticulture Society (LBHS) will formally open on 29th April to 8nd of May at the UPLB Seniors Social Garden.
The theme of the show is “Fiesta sa Laguna” where the different landscaped design of the exhibitors will feature the important products or features of a town in Laguna.
As shared by Dr. Benito Vergara, the featured plants in the show are the flowering plants. Expect a colorful show. The center will not be used for the main exhibit but the main exhibit will be executed by Vic Chin outside the center hall to emphasize the openness of the area. The center will instead be used by the East-West seed company to show case their plant products. The other half to show case the Horticulture Cluster of UPLB.
These were some of the exhibits we have seen yesterday:
The center of the area will be the most captured part of the event.
What surrounds the center are exhibits around the area.
We captured also one of the exhibits of Vic Chin, one of the officers of LBHS who always there to support the said garden show.
This landscape is from Forest Wood Garden represented by Ms. Myrna Frago of San Pablo, Laguna.
This landscape captured also our attention with the theme’s concept of what a fiesta really is.
According to Marina Catipon, President of the LBHS, tables around the center will be selling different products from Laguna. Week end lectures will be announced later.
This summer activity will be graced by the Mayor of Los Banos and his family, Mayor Anthonry Genuino during the opening.
Will give you more details as I visit it again this Sunday. For more inquiries, you can give your comment below.
