Legends Rising at Nuvali Cup 2011
Nuvali is always a place for us to discover the best of Laguna. Our family made it a point to visit the recreation area once in a while to give a taste of nature. Yes, their byline is true – “Where People and Nature Thrive”.
Last September 24, our family witnessed the opening of Nuvali Cup 2011 where all schools and sports club enthusiasts gathered around battling different outdoor sports.
The sports event was well- attended by sports celebrities like country’s national teams in the Baseball Philippines, Phillipne Azkals and Philippine Volcanoes who personally led the sports code pledge during the opening ceremony.
We enjoyed watching also the dance groove movements of Freestylers Group Dancer – which is one of the pride of Calamba. Freestylers are dance group from Calamba, Laguna who become the first Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 grand finalist.
Some of the schools we have seen who participated were Don Bosco Canlubang, different Canossa schools here in Laguna, De La Salle Zobel, Paref Southridge, Paref Woodrose, Ateneo De Manila, Canlubang Little League, De La Salle Lipa, Alabang Tigers, Brent, UP Diliman, Faith Academy, Nomads, Makati Football School, Manila Soccer Academy and more.
Some of the sports we have seen were Football, Baseball, Beach Touch and Field touch rugby.
Great to see also that even girls can play these different sports and what more ages starting from 5 years old up.
Even my kids did not participated physically, watching them were enough with them.
Our heartfelt thanks to Nuvali again for raising this kind of sports event – designed to promote healthy active living through outdoor sports and encourage sports excellence to the next generation. Truly, legends will soon rise to these league of students.
