Calamba Goes New York Style with Yellow Cab

Everyday we have seen sprouting of commercial and restaurant establishments here in Calamba that made our family always excited.
One famous restaurant that will definitely be a front-runner with pizza eaters here in Calamba is the opening of Yellow Cab Pizza which is famous in New York style taste, large serving portions and one of a kind topping.
Yellow Cab Pizza opened last October 3, 2011 along the busy street of Calamba’s National Highway which is just near Calamba City Hall. We have already tried their branch in Binan, Laguna and their other branch in South Super Highway way way back then.
Having a branch here in Calamba gave us this feeling of digging in as all people were also flocking to give it a try. Actually, it was a jam pack crowd. Maybe that is how people appreciated Yellow Cab opening.
Hubby and me started to train our kids to explore in different food and later asked them if this one complimented to their taste buds.
To do this, we ordered Four Seasons Pizza. This flavor is a sampler of the most popular flavors of Yellow Cab – Roasted Garlic and Shrimp, Anchovy Lovers, New York Classic and Cheese.
Their pizza prices are the following:
- 10″ size pizza - between P 310 to P 380
- 14″ size pizza - between P 500 t P 610
- 18″ size pizza – between P 600 to P 820
To match it with pizza, we ordered Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta. The pasta ingredient includes sauté chicken breast, mushroom ad peanuts in black thick dark sauce mixed with lot of chili garlic. Expect very, very hot spicy pasta. Price is P 250.00 which is good for us five persons but still it depends on each appetite.
One has to wait 20 – 30 minutes to be served. Expect it as not as fast pizza. Maybe because the dough is kneaded upon someone ordered the pizza. I personally saw this motion at the back kitchen as we seated waiting in front.
Definitely we love the experience and will come back for more. Hopefully, if budget permits, we can avail the Yellow Cab Promo every month – Free 10″ NY Classic Pizza when you buy 18″ pizza every 10th day of the month.
We will be trying other flavors later on like Tribeca Mushroom and Manhattan Meat Lovers. Other menu for taste will be Baked Potato Halves and Hot Chicken Wings. We have relished already their Pistachio ice cream before but its worth a try.
