Calamba City- Laguna, Hot Spring Capital of the Philippines

The “banga” is built in middle where one can easily identify it. The names of the barangays of Calamba were written all over its surface. Most of the people who came over would go upstairs near the banga and take a picture as their part of souvenir.

Every now and then, as we pass along the National Highway going to the resort, our family are intrigue with this quaint restaurant.

If there is one thing that fascinates the whole site of Laguna de Bay with the scenery of mountains within is going to our own version of Baywalk which what we called here in Calamba as “Aplaya”.

Today we commemorate the 149th birthday of Dr. Jose Rizal. There are lot of activities in store in celebration of his birthday. I am really enthusiastic to know what in store for the celebration for Jose Rizal’s birthday. What we do is to visit his house and check the activties in store for the day.

June 15 is officially the first day of school for year 2010-2011 and everyone is excited not only the students but also a parent like me. There would be new adventure for the kids as they venture to a new level of their academe experiences. I will be sharing with you one of the new school here in Calamba which can also be found in the metro.

I have known Conti’s as our caterer whenever there were birthday celebrations and special occasion in the office and eversince then, I love Conti’s dessert especially their Mango Bravo.

All set now for the summer 2010 event here at Los Baños, Laguna with its theme “Garden Wedding” this April 23 to May 2, organized by the Los Baños Horticulture Society formerly called Los Baños Orchid Society.

Got a time to walk to our very own Calamba Municipal Hall as also part of our weekend morning exercise.

One of the summer events that our family always anticipated is to look forward for our Visita Iglesia escapade here in Laguna. I make it a point that our kids will still reminiscence lenten season and at the same time enjoying it.

Summer month once again! Definitely, I will be dedicating most of my posts on the different resorts available here in Calamba.
